Paul Ryan gets bishop-slapped http://www.usccb.org/news/2012/12-063.cfm
Reposted by 2 people.scribadiva That is so sweet of you. I haven't had time to fix any of the speech recognition software on my pc, but my phone is set up already, and it's just acting up. Totally agree with that sentiment. What would I do if I couldn't agitate? So, let's keep agitating--I can't wait to leave here so I can get a real routine going, and coming home, here, BC, Broo, etc. I have posts that stand the test of time! I miss everyone SO much. Again, thank you. :)
Agit8r Yeah, I call Paul Ryan a Pinochetist. The lot of them really...

Old news is still new to some people. An '04 article about greenhouse gasses and asthma
http://www.webmd.com/asthma/news/20040429/high-carbon-dioxide-levels-may-up-asthma-rate
1 person likes this.GreenLady7 I know. I did actually read it, and I think it's happening to me, too, and I don't really think it's funny at all. I read Whitley Streiber's "2012: The War for Souls", and I'm now reading "Beyond 2012; The Omega Report" by the same author. The only ones who don't believe it's happening are Repubs and Tea Partiers.

We are all equal before the law. In theory that is true. But is there any law at all, when anarchist wear BLUE
1 person likes this.Reposted by 1 person.Agit8r Well, my guess is it is a cultural phenomenon. As people correctly feel more powerless in every other aspect of their lives, they lash out and abuse the powers over others that they are allotted by the masters of society. That and the constant pop-culture assault on respect for due process :(
scribadiva I agree with you. But I think it's an issue in every culture. Once we no longer lived in a bi-polar world, many held on to cultural traditions, like the Balkans. That and as you say, many become numb to issues like torture. On that show 24, which I didn't watch much, every season, which constitutes one day, has the "hero" killing 38 people one year, and again the "hero" engages in torture. Then you have animals like Limbaugh saying, Guantanamo and Abu Graib [are] like summer camp." Beatings like this in the U.S. happen every day; Fourth, Sixth Amendments are ignored, And just the idea of Extraordinary Rendition makes me ill. Thank you for these videos. As Burke, the conservative once said, paraphrasing, Evil flourishes when good men do nothing.

This is an old article, but I found out recently that some people STILL are not aware of these facts, so...
"The CDC and a biological-sample company, the American Type Culture Collection, sent strains of all the germs Iraq used to make weapons, including anthrax, the bacteria that make botulinum toxin, and the germs that cause gas gangrene, the records show. Iraq also got samples of other deadly…

Agit8r @Greenlady, what you mean?
scribadiva GreenLady, you are funny. And I'm one of "those" people stuck at home. They wont give me a scooter or wheelchair until I get accessible housing, but how am I going to find accessible housing? Even the special transportation won't bring a wheelchair; liability issues.

The Deficit Commission needs to think outside the box
Some common sense suggestions for reducing the deficit:
Instead of raising income taxes, consider having a tax on land and improvements much like in the 'Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union'
Reduce military spending to include only those functions absolutely necessary to defend…
read morePhotosbyHank All are very good idea, cept the military spending cuts. Way too many civilians are employed in support of military programs. The F-22 cuts really hurt Lockheed Martin and the support companies for that project.
Agit8r haha, very diplomatic Rich :)
