That ache in the base of my left fingers is moving over to my right hand now. Distinction without difference.
As we say in Minnesota, "it could be worse."
I suspect it's connected with weather. This part of the world is getting vitally-needed rain: and thundershowers.
Radar shows no rain for maybe 20 miles, so I'm taking a short walk. -
Aside from my left fingers being sore, by the knuckles, it's been a good day. Only a few tasks left - plus reading Garfield with my son.

Another day, and time for the evening meal. We call it "supper" in this household: but that varies from family to family. Time for a break.
-
Another day's winding down. Over on Twitter, I caught up on my personal blog Tweets.
Mostly about two of my kids getting their jaws broken - on purpose, a tractor, and the results of my experiment with new beard-trimming technology. The latter was somewhat more effective than I expected.

There. I've touched base, here at friedeggs. I'm suspiciously 'caught up' on today's tasks. If I'm smart, I won't look for something to do.
2 people like this.Theresa111 There's always something to do. I try to ignore a lot of it and keep typing. Ha.

Looking for an item in the attic today, I uncovered one of my favorite bumper stickers: "HONK IF YOU LOVE PEACE AND QUIET."
Didn't find what I was looking for, but #1 daughter and I had a good time talking and looking.
-
I've got a Sauk Centre Journal post to write - and tomorrow's Apathetic Lemming of the North posts to line up.
There's about 1 hour 20 minutes left until 10:00 p.m., and a few other tasks to do, too: but hey, no pressure.
It's a good thing I'm self-employed. I wouldn't take this kind of (workload? schedule?) from anybody else.2 people like this.Theresa111 Now that is funny and profound, all at the same time. Do your kids know their dad is so gifted?
Aluwir Thanks! My kids are pretty sharp - so they're probably 'on to me.' #1 daughter proofs my posts.

My wife and #3 daughter came back from Soo Bahk Do class a few minutes ago. They were taking tests: We'll know the results - later.
One of the boards broke - and broke free. At least part went flying. That sort of makes me wish I'd been there.
I've been out of practice with Soo Bahk Do (Korean martial art - sort of like Karate) for - years. Eventually (soon, I hope) I'll have gotten working muscles to go with my new hips,…

20 minutes until the family's evening meal: and I still have no clue what a 'creative' post's topic will be for today.
It'll be an interesting - and long - evening, but I'm blocking out time for being with my wife & however many kids are around, anyway.
Priorities, and all that.2 people like this.Theresa111 How about ten really funny things your kids have said while eating family dinners. I love good stories.

Another routine Thursday evening. Fairly routine, that is:
My wife, our son & #3 daughter are going to Soo Bahk Do soon, I expect. I'll be trying to catch up with everything that's not related to lint.

I grew up in the sixties: so this 'big four-oh' for Earth Day has been an occasion for a little nostalgia.
*Just* a little nostalgia. My memory's too good for me to want a return to any of the 'good old days' I've been through. Still I put those Pilot glasses over the eyes of my mind, and took a nice saunter down memory lane.
-
I've been writing about lint quite a bit in the last few days. It's my contribution to Earth Day #40.
1 person likes this.Theresa111 Tell me where to recycle the lint please. I kept reading and clicking but never did find out. thanks. Nice day.
Aluwir This post of mine links to a nice 'how to recycle lint' how-2: http://apatheticlemming.blogspot.com/2010/04/recyc... . Ten uses for dryer lint - what I linked to: http://www.essortment.com/home/reusedryerlint_sywe...

There's two cousins (from my position in the extended family, they're a niece and a nephew) visiting.
They're leaving now, since my wife, our son and #3 daughter are going to Soo Bahk Do class.
-
That's a bit of shameless self-promotion. On the other hand, there's a *lot* a person can do with lint. Who knew?

I've been leading up to Earth Day by discussing lint, more than I usually do.
There's quite a bit more to lint than you might think. I've gotten one potentially-useful post out of my research: Recycle Lint and Save Earth! http://apatheticlemming.blogspot.com/2010/04/recycle-lint-and-save-earth.html .
1 person likes this.Theresa111 Would you like me to save mine and send it to you?
Aluwir Thanks, no.;) It's one of those 'renewable' resources.

The day has been fairly routine. As most are
I've touched base at the _An_Oasis Twitter account I'm minding for Oasis Productions (shameless name-dropping), spent more time checking my own account at Twitter, and spent most of the rest of the day doing research and writing for other blogs.
And spent time with family, of course.
And…

Aluwir It was, actually: and I think you've got a good point.

Okay: that should be enough of 'the eye' to get folks' attention.

If you're reading this on my Facebook wall, that means the connection works.

Aluwir Theresa111, I hope that didn't sound churlish. There's quite a bit of 'back story' involved - which may come out as time passes.

Theresa111 Hey Mr. Churlish! here's a great big fat sloppy Universal Hug, because I truly want you to feel much better ... like right away. :)
