  2. libdrone A follow-up to last week's story on the #TSA sexual abuse outrages http://bit.ly/ePjJkt

    libdrone

libdrone I read one account about a flight attendant who was required to remove her prosthetic breast. Honestly, Butterose, there were just Way too many horror stories to choose from. It really does feel to me as though our civil liberties are being canceled and far too few of us are raising any fuss at all.

    11/30/10

    LyndaLehmann

LyndaLehmann I'd hit the ceiling if I had to remove a prosthetic breast; it's way too personal and invasive to call upon a woman to do that. That would be traumatic for anyone who'd recently undergone mastectomy. As if the cancer weren't enough torment.

I remember a year or so ago, when my then 87 year old mother-in-law was frisked in her wheelchair at the airport. She's hunched because her spine is nearly crumbled, and they hurt her! She was near tears.

  3. libdrone

libdrone my taste in music is.....eclectic. over the years, I have learned not to share. (Also I use #Pandora and frankly am not interested in learning about all things blip ;(

    TheTAZZoneNetwork

TheTAZZoneNetwork Well it actually has nothing to do with Blip...it's just a post asking what your favorite top 10 songs are.

    12/01/10

  4. legbamel Didn't someone recently post a video for Will It Go 'Round in Circles? I've got a great one to follow up that one: Billy Preston.

  5. legbamel This could be the best version of In the Mood ever. I heart Glenn Miller.

    Butterose

Butterose My Mom raised me on this kind of music. LOVE it. Her faves were Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw. They were played in my house every day.

  11. XxJamberxX Today I am going to volunteer in the Illinois Democratic campaign, like I have done sine Oct. 20, but this time Dan Seals will be there.

I was hoping to get a picture of him or something, (Well really my dad wants me too) I can't wait to meet my first politician.

  12. legbamel YEAH! Buckwheat Zydeco is so amazing. Check out Hey, Good Lookin'!

    libdrone

libdrone it streams SO much better from your FB link btw. I like it, I think.

    10/31/10

    markgeller

markgeller Love Zydeco. Learned about it the first time I went to New Orleans. It's such a happy musical style. Buckwheat is the man!

  13. libdrone I've written a new post....about Fried Eggs http://bit.ly/bpEq9h

    scribadiva

scribadiva Butterose and markgeller, I'm the same way. Someone asked why I don't "shamelessly promote," I want to look at my reader and know there's a good reason people are there. Speaking of sharing talent, has noahalexanderdorsey shown up, from BC? If you like horror, you will love his blog. I haven't been around; too sick, although I can read your comments. Keyboard has a learning curve. I hope everyone is well. Sweet tides, Linda

  15. RichBecker Will Hoge

His acoustic set brings him much closer to live performances. This is one of his live performances. You can hear the acoustic sets on the site. http://bit.ly/bhCcyE

    markgeller

markgeller Had it on in the background while working. Sort of a Hendrix vibe (at least on this cut)?

    10/22/10

    RichBecker

RichBecker Yes, on this cut. And he sounds more like that in his acoustic sessions. I noticed he is a little more rock with a hint of pop on most albums.

    10/22/10

  16. GreenLady7 I've been trying to get in touch with my shallow side lately, and I couldn't help noticing how very attractive the FriedEggs site is. :D

    Butterose

Butterose Much better looking than Twitter.

    10/22/10

  17. Theresa111 One of my very favorite songs EVER! Bee Gees Nights On Broadway. It was later covered by Candi Staton (I went on the road with her), on her

album with her number one hit (in the UK), Young Hearts Run Free

    Butterose

Butterose I don['t think the BeeGee's ever did a bad song. At least, not in my mind they didn't.

    Theresa111 I love this group.
