    proofpositivity I'm not an atheist and I'm not in to religion either. As someone who worked in an art museum, I know the value of religious art. There is a history in the types of paint or materials they used. Some paintings are done with gold. It's hard to believe but it is so pretty.

    Stillthinking Oh it's horrific. It really bothers me that with such a great national platform to promote truly good modern design, they choose tacky, old fashioned and traditional.

    DesignOnDesign Yeah, it's bad for business too. After seeing shows like these, some people are slow to hire a designer in case they end up with a crazy "creative" who will turn their home into a kitsch plastic paradise that they will have to live in and look at, day in day out.
    Others expect a designer to produce this overdone style with all the tawdry bells and whistles, or else they feel shortchanged! :D
