Folks, lets face it the core problem concerning the judicial confirmation process is the seventeenth amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It took several decades to catch up with us but the effect is here now in full force. The only real solution is to repeal the seventeenth amendment. Of course ain't no body listening and it ain't gonna happen.
