Butterose What would make it more genuine and meaningful to you? I ask because it is genuine and meaningful to me since it appears not to be all about collecting large numbers in place of real conversation.

LyndaLehmann Real dialogue would make it meaningful. I'm just so tired of all the popularity contests and friend and follower collecting that's going on...
I would like to get to know like-minded people. By that I don't mean that they think like me, but that they DO think and are open to exchange of ideas--and value mutual support and personal and intellectual growth.

LyndaLehmann I guess I'll go ahead and invite my artist friends from other sites, though I have to do it next week as I'm busy with printing, matting and framing this week.

timethief @LyndaLehman I think we need some way to be able to know a new person has joined like a member's register or something. So far the friends I gave my URL to have found me but as my posts don't hit the front page I wonder how new people will find me.

Theresa111 Agreed that we need to have a list of sorts so we may meet others and maybe automatic following so we don't miss the opportunity for any good topic of conversation. The reason I follow everyone I have followed to date, is that I never know who will say something I want to hear. Everyone is interesting.
