The No. 1 Habit of Highly Creative People
http://zenhabits.net/creative-habit/
Over at zenhabits they have a really interesting article about the habits of creative types. The author randomly chose a handful of creative professionals to ask them about their habits and a single response showed up more than any other.
What do you think…

http://www.successdemandsaction.netscribadiva I didn't want to read it when you posted this, b/c I was working on a piece about my creative process.I think I've gone too far; I'm working on an acronym for it, just funny, not necessary. I can't wait to move! The participation is a given, just by nature. The solitude is a given, and I don't mind it if it's something I'm working on. But try dating a painter. In the a.m., you are always saying goodbye at his studio! You put up a great hit!

scribadiva I have the same, CookingAnne, except for Juno, I've got wordpress, opera, technocrati. In fact, I'm creating a new one, and I never use the original. The way I shaped my password is a funny story, but if I tell it, obviously I have to kill everyone. I had to add letters over the years, from 4 to 6 to 8 characters, building on the first 4 letter word, and I'm embarrassed to say what has become of it!
scribadiva And my friends in 3D? They read a post, and call me on the phone. I ask, "did it occur to you to leave a comment, or, since we've known each other for 40 years, maybe join?" "Oh, no, I can't do that." Either the kids will magically find it, or no explanation at all. One person took 3 months, but she did it, and I'm proud of her. The yahoo is 100% TRUE; so is the AOL. Couldn't see it before; couldn;t find reading glasses.

What they don’t teach you about identity design in design schools
Paula Scher guest authored on Tony Spaeth’s Identity Forum with a great piece titled: What they don’t teach you about identity design in design schools… …And what you can’t learn from blogs.
“I never knew a designer that got hundreds of thousands of dollars to design a logo. Mostly,…

scribadiva I suspect the lack of id design in design school is much the same as being a sociology major, without understanding politics of identity, what's known as identity politics, or more frequently, political sociology. that is race, gender, color, and where you yourself fit. I spent 5 years on my thesis on id politics. I think the augmentation of your field in that direction would be taught at the school I went to, but no one should leave high school, or at most, college, without that understanding as well as critical thinking. People go to Harvard Law for critical thinking? They shouldn't be accepted without it.

Since the last image I uploaded seemed interesting to everyone thought I would add another
(Hopefully this will show up large enough)
Here is the original wireframe/concept of the homepage that @tonyberkman sent me around midnight on December 20th... by the 23rd I had most of the site laid out and ready to send to the programmer.
You can see most of the major work was done by tony,…

Fried Eggs Concept
A fried eggs layout I was working on a few weeks ago. You can probably notice some of the design cues that were updated from this mock-up like the new background colors and some of the sidebar elements.

numby ...can you make the comment box default to the full width of the white portion of the page? Using Firefox, I can't stretch it, and it would make what people typed appear more efficiently...Am I to guess it currently defaults to handheld width?...maybe detection...(?)

Man those new macbook pros with the i7 processors that apple launched today are looking nice. I just need a few more months to be debt free.

Sometimes, less is more...
We want to personalize! We want the red convertible with the tan leather interior and the iPod hook-up, with custom rims. Green just won’t do! It’s this definitive decision that makes us happy, even ecstatic when we find the perfect [insert your idea of perfect here]. However, it is this…

As much as I do enjoy visiting the homepage to see if there is anyone new talking on FriedEggs...
When I browse the site I keep clicking the logo in the top corner thinking its going to send me to my home/feed only to be re-directed to the site homepage instead.
Sadly, I am conditioned to click the logo to get to my main page... you would think I would learn after doing this over and over...…

timethief The only thing that's disturbing me is that my posts made at freideggs do not appear on the front page. The reasons I am here are twofold. (1) To renew old friendships. (2) To meet new bloggers and form friendships with them. The friends I give my FE profile page URL to do find me after joining. But how will new people who join ever do so if my posts do not appear on the front page along with those of other members?
And why are my posts being treated differently than the other members posts are being treated? Why don't I get the full benefit of freideggs? I just don't get it and any help you can offer will be appreciated. :(
To me this is an important question that needs an answer but as @friedeggsfix does not follow anyone we cannot durect message. I did post on this but my post did not appear on the front page even though it did appear on twitter. -
Is Apple unveiling the iPhone 4.0 OS on Thursday?
That’s what it looks like! Boy Genius Report has posted an invitation to an event that includes the tagline, “Get a sneak peek into the future of iPhone OS” with the shadow of the number four in the background.
