So Groupon is now valuated at $1 billion. What the hell is Groupon? For Crissakes I just mastered FourSquare and WildFire! I think the Mashable folks are just making s**t up, now.

Stillthinking Groupon is awesome! If you live in a Groupon city, you get an email everyday with a special deal for Groupon members. Typically anywhere between 40-75% off. You have to "buy" the deal, but you have a full use to "use" the deal. The idea is that Groupon bargains down the vendor through the power of group pricing. The flip side of that being if not enough people participate in that day's deal, it's canceled and whoever bought gets their money back. I actually went to the birthday party for the founder of Groupon Saturday night. Dancers swinging from the ceiling, the Bodeans, performance artists painting glass, aerial acrobats. Pretty amazing.

WineCountryInn I know they're Chicago based. But I'd never heard of them until last night. It gave me a sinking feeling because it seems like the list of social media tools just keeps growing and growing... I haven't even gotten around to shutting down my MySpace account, for Pete's sakes!

Butterose Group buying for events and things to be enjoyed in your hometown. I looked it up. They make an offer and you have to get lots of people to sign up in order to get it. Todays NY State offer is in Rochester, some 200 miles away from me. I'll get right on that. LOL
