A new Facebook feature. Please can we have this on FriedEggs?

On the bottom left corner in little blue letters, click "English UK". When the language selection appears, click "English Pirate". It's in the first column. Then watch and see what happens.

infurl My favorite part so far... there's an app for your pocket-parrot. :)

Theresa111 It reverts back to English US no matter how many times I clicked English UK.

legbamel If I had a parrot in my pocket I would certainly no advertise it, much less ask it to translate for me!

infurl @tonyberkman of course, but how long it would take would depend on how your code is factored.

All the user interface text would have to be stored separately so different sets could be selected. If you've been planning to support additional languages in the future then it may already be set up that way.

tonyberkman probably not the top priority here. multi photo uploads, slidesshare embeds and an api may be more valuable. what do you think?

infurl Have you been following the news about that open source distributed social network protocol "Diaspora"? They've raised nearly $200k of seed capital already through http://kickstarter.com That's where I'd look for an API.

As for photo uploads, there are so many places for uploading photos now (I have albums on Picasa, Flickr, Facebook and Orkut plus my own web server), are you sure you want to create another one?

Wouldn't it make more sense to provide a facility that helps us keep track of all the online albums that we already have? All these sites have some sort of API which FriedEggs could probably exploit, just as you already make it possible to connect our accounts to Facebook and Twitter. I believe the founder of 4chan is working on something like that now.

tonyberkman Yes. It wouldn't be difficult to be able to connect to online photo albums, including picassa, flickr, and perhaps slideshare. We are short a developer right now. Do you know anyone good at hacking things out?
