A fellow blogger reports on a man who gave the TSA their just come-up-pants... and got arrested for it :P

Agit8r Thanks. unfortunately, it seems that Snopes is calling the story bogus :-[

“A pat-down in Europe is quite discreet,” said Emmanuel Vincart of Belgium’s Commission for the Protection of Privacy. “[Screeners] would never touch your genitals!” The European Consumer Center also said it has “never” received a complaint about pat-downs.

LyndaLehmann hahaha! today i finally went to twitter and deleted all the people who followed me and dropped me as soon as i followed them!
who says there's no justice? ;)
1 person likes this.DennyLyon I totally relate to the twitter follower frustration. I've learned to quit being too nice and following those who follow me. Invariably, there are hundreds of user personas hard at work. The worst offenders? SEO and IT are the 2 worst as they are just gamers playing the numbers. The next line are the other kind of self-absorbed who are anti-social: my fellow writers and poets and artists and musicians - sad to say but true on Twitter.
There are several services that do pop up from time to time that help separate the wheat from the chaff - but still it involves the effort of checking them out one by one to unfollow. The Big However is that I soon realized I was getting targeted by certain groups so it was necessary to begin the culling. Your choice. I don't find twitter the place for personal interaction unless you go to private tweets. I do wonder if Fried Eggs will ever catch on like the Twitter wildfire and become as big a mess...hopefully never! :)
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your holiday! :)LyndaLehmann @DennyLyon - I hope that Fried Eggs stays small. The ratio of numbers to intelligence (or vice versa) is much better here than at Twitter, I think. I'm staying on there only because ONCE IN AWHILE, I find info or a link worth checking out.
I hope your holiday was good, as well. We had the usual dysfunction, but at least, everyone remained civil and the political remarks were kept at low decibel. ;) -
nothingprofound How do you feel about doing nothing? That's the subject of today's aphorism at Aphorism Of The Day: http://mydailyaphorism.blogspot.com
So, do you feel guilty when you do nothing? Do you feel you always have to be accomplishing something?
1 person likes this.libdrone I no longer feel guilty when I do nothing. For me it is more often a matter of just not feeling up to doing anything and I am learning to just accept my 'off' times.
scribadiva in full agreement with libdrone. Although once I became ill, it took three years to fully live without always "doing." I'm relearning this right now, being ordered to bed. Like a child. I hate that circular thing: infant-adult-infant, but I dislike the alternative.

5 people like this.scribadiva Butterose and markgeller, I'm the same way. Someone asked why I don't "shamelessly promote," I want to look at my reader and know there's a good reason people are there. Speaking of sharing talent, has noahalexanderdorsey shown up, from BC? If you like horror, you will love his blog. I haven't been around; too sick, although I can read your comments. Keyboard has a learning curve. I hope everyone is well. Sweet tides, Linda
commrat I like this post, I am tired of Twitter where 1 in 1000 users might be interested in making real connections.

libdrone Timethief, Lynda-- thank you both so much for your very kind words. Today I am starting to feel a little more hopeful. And I keep reminding myself that I can't change what other people do. Only how I react to it.

Butterose The new Twitter is now available to me, still as an option. I can switch back and forth between versions.
I think I might like it if I could figure out a way to corral the cursor so it doesn't sit in the wrong spot on the tweet. I'm like tryin ta read a tweet and blam there's the pop out. You can't initially see all those little doodads which tell you what's gonna happen. The cursor has to rest…
read more2 people like this.Reposted by 1 person.libdrone I got an invite this morning and played with it a little. It is ok, fine for those who use Twitter on the web I suppose. It doesn't change anything for me in Twitter Fox.
legbamel The only thing I really see different so far is that it's wider than it was with lots of extraneous information in the two right sidebars. Okay, to be fair it does now have a button that brings up your "conversation" with someone who's replied to you. That's actually a major improvement, but the only one that I saw.

PhotosbyHank Does @MResort have a great buffet? Yeah, they have a great buffet ! In case anyone was wondering . . . #vegas #buffets
1 person likes this.libdrone which is the best buffet in Vegas in your opinion?
PhotosbyHank Best period would be the MResort "StudioB Buffet".
In the past in was RIO's World Carnival Buffet, but as the prices are within a few dollars of each other on Friday,Saturday, MResort takes it. Even during the week and early afternoon, MResorts buffett wins hands down. -
TeamBC Just to follow up on this morning's post. Maintenance is done and BC is running smoothly.
