One more fave. Vanessa Williams and Luciano Pavarotti 12/12/98 doing Adeste Fidelis.
Sorry about the commercial up front. This is the only link I could find. Worth sitting through.

There was one with Natalie King Cole (who owned a restaurant and hotel in this area) with her father. And remember the spoof on these duos with Frank and Sinead? Thanks for posting this! It doesn't feel like summer w/o one or two Xmas songs and movies!

Saw this as I flew back to NYC from Milwaukee. "Welcome to Milwaukee airport, you are now free to recombobulate!"
"Who said the airport checkpoint was a bad place to hang out? Milwaukee's General Mitchell Airport has turned the area past their security checkpoint into a recombobulation area.
The sign is the brainchild of airport director Barry Bateman, who thought it would be a fun way to take the stress…

Nanomedicine - the future of medical treatment.
The possibility of using nanorobots in medicine, advocates say, would totally change the world of medicine once it is realized. Nanomedicine would make use of these nanorobots introduced into the body, to repair or detect damages and infections. A typical blood borne medical nanorobot would…

Meadowlands gets the Superbowl in 2014. Very controversial around the NY metroplotan area. I love it.

Just watched the "Lost" finale. Still digesting. What are your thoughts?
2 people like this.TIFFLS Yeah, I'm just not so much about the "human element". I was watching to play the logic game that was set up in the first couple of seasons, and it turned out that there never was an answer--they were just tossing stuff out there to get us guessing without any kind of big picture in mind.
Butterose My thoughts are...I'm still lost.

I don't know why, but when I can't sleep I put on my DVR'd "Meet the Press" and I am out like a light. Works every time.
Try it. If it works, you can thank me. Turning it on now.
2 people like this.Reposted by 1 person.scribadiva Endless chatter help, and Meet the Press is perfect fodder for sleep. I'm big on MSNBC, but the only show that will keep me alert is Zacharia's GPS--Global Public Square. I should write a post about this. The Autobiography of James Michael "Curley" Brown should've been a blast, but by page 18, I was out like a light. I will post about him; Boston Mayor in jail for 1 month and still ruled the city.

This incident has caused quite a stir in our area. A Philadelphia Phillie fan ran onto the field during a baseball game. He was "subdued"
by the police wih a Taser. It seems the majority of sports radio callers favor the way the situation was handled citing the unknown potential hazard to police and players. Others, apparently the minority, feel the force was excessive. What do you think?
2 people like this.nothingprofound People take their sports too seriously, in this case baseball. That this young man was brutally treated means less than that the game was interrupted.
scribadiva Notice that "every one's hair on fire" has changed to "thrown under the bus." I've written a post on this; what happens if your loved one is "really" thrown under the bus? Language inures us; that's why torture on the TV show 24 is never challenged. Torture is one of my issues; change the language, and possible settings, lie, esp. as intellectual dishonesty...I'm sorry I'm taking too much room. I saw this already; were you pressured to take it down, and by whom?
