1. My 3 year old wants me to read Troius and Cressida by Shakespeare. When did we skip over the purple dinosaur?

    Theresa111

Theresa111 Read it because he wants to know. You'll get back to Barney soon enough.

  2. This takes me back to my childhood before I knew my family was wacky.

It was an era of Strawberry Shortcake bedding, a doll that blew strawberry kisses and a Fisher Price record player that played Shaun Cassidy 45's.

    proofpositivity

proofpositivity Oh, goodness no! That's Shaun Cassidy brother of David Cassidy and son of Shirley Jones from the Partrige Family. Shaun Cassidy is from The Hardy Boys. This song was played frequently on my little Fisher Price record player. My mom ALWAYS told me I could be or do anything I

  3. Have you guys read my about page on My Habitat Home? http://myhabitathome.blogspot.com/p/about.html

I wrote it several months ago and it still brings tears to my eyes. Who knew owning a home could be so awesome?

GreenLady7 I read the post and watched both videos. That is so wonderful. I am so impressed with Habitat for Humanity and the work they do. Wish there were other places where a system like this would do so much good.

    8/19/10

    proofpositivity

proofpositivity Habitat is international. I think outside the US they are more for relief. Also 10% of my house payment goes to a foreign country to build. In all honesty I wouldn't have done it if it hadn't been for the kids.

  5. I really don't like people who think they know something about art but know zero, zilch, nil.

If you are going to compare Picasso to Michealangelo, please know what you're talking about. The two were different eras and types of art. Michealangelo NEVER practise cubism or fauvism AGGGG! Done with my rant!

    legbamel

legbamel I had to step away from his threads after reading the first half of that "women can't create great art" thread. His bias, closed-mindedness, and immaturity were revealed pretty clearly.

    8/07/10

    proofpositivity

proofpositivity He told me I know nothing about art. I had to scratch my head and wonder if the guy has mommy issues since he's got a thing against women. His blog posts are very poor quality and he has nothing to say except you're wrong with no substantiated evidence that refutes anybody's claim. He is a waist of time and effort.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in cooperation with Family Dollar Stores Inc., of Charlotte, N.C., is announcing the voluntary recall of 1.8 million toy dart gun sets, due to an aspiration hazard. If a child places the soft, pliable plastic toy dart in his/her mouth, the…

Junk being toasters that double as some sort of funky computer port. Posts with EXCESSIVE potty mouthage. I don't talk that way and I do get a wee bit offended when my reading six year old ask what certain words are. Don't even get me started on those who send me five pages of the same site…

that broke the camels back. We had predatory birds in our garbage. It was the biggest, ugliest, and did I say biggest bird I have ever seen? I could swear it was a vulture. I'm not sure they exist in WV, I've never seen one before. I saw a bald eagle once but those are pretty in comparison.…

    agapelife Hi shiley,
Like your glam. look. After a 6 month hiatus, from my blog, I'm bringing what I have learned from my clients on the forgiveness process, so the theme started this week for the next month or so. How's your habitat home? Are the flowers planted yet?

    5/06/10

    proofpositivity

proofpositivity I have 11 rose bushes planted, 2 hydrangea, some odd ball plants and literally thousands more to go, they're seeds. LOVE my home! Still waiting on furniture. We've been sleep bagging it since October.

GAG! and then, there's the I'm the only one who's right and because you aren't me you must be wrong and you must be stupid because heaven forbid you read. Reading and God apparently don't go hand in hand unless you read the Bible strictly and this is why I don't do church.

This is an email that a saturation diver sent to his sister. She then sent it to a radio station.

timethief @proffpositivity You are an inspiring woman and an excellent mom. I recall every step you took to get a home and I admire you for how very hard you worked to get it. I agree with Tiffany. your legacy will live on in your children. I'm so happy for you that I teared up when I visited your blog & saw the kids rooms & couldn't think of what to say in a comment.

    proofpositivity

proofpositivity @TT Don't say anything. :) I don't value my blogs on how many comments I get. I value them on what it means to me. My blogs aren't perfect and I'm not sure I care if my grammar is poor. :) I care about how many people look to my blogs as a "help."

P.S. I, too, rendered myself speechless after each room. I've never seen anything like it before and wasn't sure I could do it.
