Environmentally sound?

Tagged: Enviromental solution

I just received a shipment from http://Amazon.com. It was one book, I ordered 17 (for homeschooling.) Anyhow, with this book there was an invoice that stated, "We've sent this part of your order to ensure quicker service. The other items will be ship separately at no additional shipping cost." Are the other 16 coming separate? How much cardboard will be used in this shipment? In the states we use an excessive amount of resources like trees and petroleum. How much gasoline will the UPS guy use to get to me for these separate portion of this order. It would be nice if Amazon had a button for environmentally friendly shipment, meaning it ALL gets shipped once in one box. (I can wait a bit longer for my order. It's not time sensitive. What do you think?

Theresa111 Perhaps they only had the one on hand, and wanted to get it to you quickly, in case you needed it to teach the children. I am guessing (5 cents), that the remaining 16 will be shipped together.

timethief I hear you but I believe that the company chose to ship twice in an effort to create a happy customer. I'm guessing they were probably out of stock on some items and that's why they will be sent separately. At least this way you can get started on some subjects and catch up on the others later.
