LyndaLehmann @scribadiva - I love using speech recognition and I used to use it with medical dictation when my arm was too tired to type. I have it on this laptop but I think I have to re-train it!
LyndaLehmann @theTAZZ - I took your advice and changed a few details on my blog, and took off the CC banner. Now I'm wondering if by putting the CC license with certain features on my Flickr images, the same parameters then extend to all my images. I think I need to take a course in copyright! And HTML...And SEO...And so on.

Posterous is a microblogging by mail platform featuring east to make multi-media posts. Posterous began by requiring a sign up as one would expect bu now there is no sign-up required and the word seems to have gotten out to spammers.

timethief @tonyberkman No I don't believe that any blogging platform is spam free. http://wp.com doesn't allow advertising & doesn't allow their blogs to be used to drive traffic to 3rd party sites. Those rules do keep spammers at bay & the http://wp.com community has no hesitation when it comes to reporting any splogs they discover. However, Google owns both Adsense and Blogger & they have a major problem there that detracts from the credibility of the great original content blogs on that platform like Claire's and thrify's.

legbamel It's "ha ha" in a sad, cynical way, like finding out that the person held up as an example of brilliance cheated on their finals to graduate from college, in a mean, petty, I-don't-want-to-admit-I-thought-it, serves-you-right, bring-you-down-a-notch kind of way. Everyone has moments like that, even if they feel bad about them later (or pretend that they didn't).
