timethief SometimesI hate computers. What I have experienced in the last 7 days on my own computer has been crazymaking.
Included were >
1. a security update that failed to load and had to be done by Norton Staff;
2. a corrupted disk that did not repair when I used the chdsk utility - 2 times and finally worked on the third try;
3. an exceeding memory space problem that did not respond when I addressed it…

infurl Do you love robots and live in Texas?
The Dallas Personal Robotics Group was established in 1984 and is one of the oldest robotics societies in the USA. Last year they lost the use of the warehouse which had served as their home for many years. Now they are trying to raise money to establish a "hacker space" to serve as a new home.…

voodooKobra Aaaaaaaaaaand Blog Critics decided to piss me off.
From Lisa McKay:
Hi Scott,
Welcome to Blogcritics. I've just taken a look at your first submission, and I've returned it to draft for a few reasons. For openers, we like our titles to be pretty family friendly and we're looking (more or less) for a PG-13 rating with our content. The piece…

MacNimble So, I'm going through some stuff (literally and figuratively) and I stumble across some of my old writing from way back in my angsty 20's...
And I thought I to myself, "Why not share these little gems with my new friends on FriedEggs?" So, that's what I'm doing. I figure I'll toss something up here every now and then for your amusement and mockery...cuz that's how I roll.

WAYLANDCOOK Are you going to grow your own food ?With all the recalls and the genetic modifications we are thinking about raising more of our own.
We raise a huge garden every year, pigs, bees, chickens and are thinking about getting a few cows for meat and milk. We are consernec about the additives, and recalls in our food. If you had the space and time would you grow your own?
1 person likes this.WAYLANDCOOK Goats are way over rated. They are really hard to keep up if you have a garden. I lost cabbages and brocolli every year with them. That was the only time they bothered to get out. lol
Butterose We grow some of our own veggies, but don't have the space for livestock. Good thing too, I'd get attached to it and not be able to slaughter it for food. Except chickens. Those I could slaughter. My Dad kept chickens they're disgusting.
